Climate
Curaçao offers great weather and high temperatures year-round. Given the humidity, temperatures feel warm and it is around 28 °C / 82 °F throughout the year. Dryer periods are March, April, May and June and the months of July, August and September are on average the warmest months (31 °C / 88 °F). In the month of January, we mostly see the coldest temperatures (25 °C / 77 °F).

Curaçao
Situated around 40 Miles from the northern coast of Venezuela and outside of the hurricane belt you will find Curaçao. The latter means there is no risk of hurricanes and/or tsunamis. Curaçao is the largest of the three ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao). The island boasts over 35 spectacular beaches, lush green interiors and beautiful colored buildings. Many visitors mention the very “European” feel of the place, as Curaçao is a former Dutch colony. Curaçao’s official language is called Papiamentu, which is a unique blend of Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch with a hint of English, Portuguese and French thrown in. This blended language is a living reminder of the island’s indigenous and colonial history. However, Curaçao isn’t just a delight above the water. There are over 60 different dive sites to explore around the island, with many sites accessible from shore. There’s also a great party vibe, an impressive foodie scene and generally something to be found and enjoyed by every kind of traveler.

Taxis
If you want to use a taxi during your stay, our Front Office employees will be happy to help you. We also recommend downloading the 27-7 taxi app which allows to schedule taxis in advance, guarantees a reliable taxi and shows you the price of the trip in advance. In the 24-7 taxis you can pay with guilders, US dollars and all major debit and credit cards.

Check-in time
The check in time is at 4:00 PM. Please let us know if you’re arriving earlier as we will do our best to prepare your room earlier. In case your room is not ready yet, we offer luggage storage and changing rooms so you can start enjoying our facilities right away.

Check-out time
The checkout time is at 12:00 PM. Late check-outs are available if our occupancy permits and against a fee. Please check the availability with our Front Office the day before departure. In case a late check-out is not possible, we will gladly store your luggage and a shower room and changing room are available free of charge to freshen up before your journey home.

Entry requirements

When entering Curaçao, you will need to fill out the Digital Immigration Card (or DI card) online as soon as you have all your travel information. You cand find the link here.

Meal plan
You can add breakfast, half board and full board to your reservation and enjoy the culinary delights of our different restaurants. You will be able to add a meal plan to your reservation when you book your stay with us or upon check-in. Please note that meal plans can only be booked for your full stay.

At LionsDive we accept Cash in US$, Euro and Nafl. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, V-Pay and Maestro.

Sustainability
From its opening in 1989, LionsDive Beach Resort has always offered accommodations that embrace nature, and to date, strives for the highest standards in sustainability ventures. Water conservation, energy savings, waste control (including recycling and wastewater), are included in our fixed measures. The resort also supports various projects for local schools, athletes, animal rescue and nature conservation organizations. Our procurement is carried out locally wherever possible and we encourage our guests to discover the island and support local businesses.

When you booked your stay with us directly, a shared airport transfer is included. In case you would like us to book a transfer and/or taxi for you, please email ([email protected]) with your flight details and we will provide you with all transfer options.

The closest ATM is on the Mambo Boulevard, just footsteps away from the resort.

Baby
Are you traveling with a baby? At LionsDive there are various baby products for free at the Front Desk. We have a highchair, baby monitor, baby crib, bottle warmer and baby stroller. Please reserve your desired products in advance as supplies are limited.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 07:00 till 10:30 at Hemingway Beach Bar & Restaurant.

Car rental

Diving center
The on-site dive and snorkel operator, Ocean Encounters, offers a variety of educational courses, dive-, snorkel- and boat trips. Explore the magnificent underwater world of Curaçao!

Gym
Stay fit during your vacation! The Gym at LionsDive is one of the best private sports and fitness facilities on the island and is located within LionsDive Beach Resort.

Languages
The LionsDive team speaks Dutch, English, Papiamentu, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

Laundry service
There are laundry rooms on the resort to use free of charge.

Parking
Guests can park their car on the resort. Parking is free of charge.

Shuttle bus
LionsDive offers a daily complimentary shuttle service to downtown Willemstad. Departure is daily at 9:00 and the shuttle returns at 13:00. Vreugdenhil Supermarket offers a complimentary shuttle service to the supermarket. From Monday to Saturday the shuttle departs at 9:00 and 10:00. It returns on 10:00 and 11:00. On Sunday the shuttle departs at 10:00 and returns at 11:00.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the rooms of the resort. There are, however, opportunities to smoke outside and at the restaurants.

Spa
Relax your muscles and your mind at the Spa at LionsDive! The Spa offers a wide variety of massages and treatments in the indoor spa or on the beach in the Beach Gazebo

Sport activities
We offer various fun (fitness) activities! Join us on a hike through the salt pans and spot flamingos or relax during our sunrise yoga sessions. Read more about all our sport activities

Tap-water
Not only is our tap water safe to drink, but it is also of the finest quality! Water is distilled from seawater and therefore perfectly safe to drink. The water is soft, contains no chloride, has little calcium and it even meets the highest quality standards of the World Health Organization. We offer a complimentary souvenir bottle for every guest which you will find in your fridge. You can use the refill stations in the lobby, at the beach hut and near the 50-meter pool to refill your bottle with chilled water.

Voltage
All electrical connections are 220 Volt/50 Hertz. Adapters can be bought at the Front Desk for $2.
