Penad Curaçao marathon 2007 March the 17th
The Penad Curaçao Marathon is the National Marathon Championship of the Netherlands Antilles.
The race is open to all runners over the full marathon distance of 42.195 km. You can also sign up
for a half marathon, or team up with up to 6 runners to form a full marathon relay team.
The start is at the Brionplein, crossing the Julianabrug and heading towards Lions Dive & Beach Resort
Curacao. From there the runners must complete another 5 laps of 7 km.
The race will be held in the evening, and there will be music and entertainment at Hemingway on the
Lions Dive Beach for the runners and fans.
Due to the tropical climate, the wind and the course profile, don't expect to set a personal record here.
But you will be proud after crossing the finish line of the toughest marathon race of the Kingdom of
the Netherlands.
Marc Herremans, the wheelchair athlete that recently won the Ironman World Champion 2006 in
Hawaii will also be participating!
