My wife and I were part of a dive group (Scuba Venture) that stayed at Lions Dive the last week of March /first week of April 2012. The resort and accommodations were very nice, the weather warm & wonderful and the diving fantastic. The dive staff, dive masters and boat captains are all first rate. We will come back again. WE are looking forward to a return trip and/or moving to Curacao.

We enjoyed our first visit to Curaçao quite a bit and were largely satisfied with Lions Dive -- which has strong points and a few challenges.

--> BEST ASPECTS: Ideal setting on a clean, ample-size beach with walk-in snorkeling (superb, thanks to breakwall with submerged plant growth that's a fish magnet). Plenty of adjustable loungers with cushions, thatched-roof palapas, wooden huts. Kid-safe wading areas, food/drink service, seaside massages/manicures, a few nearby shops, short walk (beach or roadside sidewalk) to popular seafood restaurant/club (Mambo Beach).

--> OTHER AMENITIES: Twice-daily free shuttles to supermarket and downtown. Public bushalte (stop) right outside driveway for convenient access ($1 USD) to downtown and popular Jaan Thiel Beach (highly recommended). On-site car rental (National/Alamo). Free terminal to print boarding passes. Three Internet terminals ($5 for 30 minutes).

--> DOWNSIDES: No tour desk/concierge.Inconsistent staff at desk, where check-in was handled w/out warmth or responsiveness to questions.Bus question later stumped 1st clerk. Housekeeping poor (floor stayed sandy, shower soap dispenser unfilled 2 days, past guest water bottle under bed). No hair dryer until requested. Snorkels/fins provided for fee, though site promotes snorkeling.

--> OFF-SITE: Next-door Sea Aquarium is free to Lions Dive guests and well worth at least two visits to see dolphin, sea lion and small shark-feeding shows. (Swim with dolphins for a fee.) Walk along curbed road (5 mins) past nearly adjacent Breezes Hotel to Sea Side Terrace + adjacent Surfe & Turf small bayside restaurants for value and friendly proprietors/staff. This is beach food as it should be served! Ask for homemade pica (hot) sauce if you dare.

--> DAY TRIP: Book a 90-minute ferry to Kleine Curaçao, an uninhabited island with pristine, broad beach, sea turtles visible to snorkelers, an abandoned lighthouse and a photogenic, rusting shipwreck on shore. Go with The Mermaid ($95 USD), which serves tasty continental breakfast and barbecued buffet lunch in its own beach structure (indoor bathroom). It also has beach chairs, small shelters, free snorkel masks, ultra-friendly crew.

A rival operation (Pelican) sails there with a catamaran that stays anchored offshore for snorkeling, with lunch served on board. It promotes open bar, but our crew provided complimentary beer and rum/cola.

Okay, I admit that I stayed at the resort close to the Lions Dive resort. But I kept swimming over to your resort to go to Hemingway restaurant, almost daily. I loved the breakfast buffet. The staff there was wonderful, everyone was friendly, and the dancing on Sunday night was awesome. Even the d.j. played a good mix of music to dance to .. something that appeals to everyone. We all danced for about four hours.
I'm definitely going back to Curacao in 2012, if not sooner, and I will at least be visiting, and maybe even staying, at your resort.

Everything we thought it would be minus sunshine. But the resort was wonderful. People were warm, friendly, helpful, food was the best. Location was great. Rooms comfortable - the trip was all perfect. However, the end of November may not be the best time to visit due to rainy season!! But we had a blast anyway. We will definitley be returning to Lions Dive!

No doubt, this was one of the best holidays ever!!! We stayed at Lions Dive from 24th of July until 7th of August 2010 in one of the luxury appartements near the 50 mtr pool. We surely will never forget this wonderful time and will return for sure! Beach, restaurants, staff - everything was perfect! Love you so much!

My husband and I, vistited Lions from March 11 to March 25, 2010. My husband was diving and i just enjoyed the beautiful beach and the nice clean water. We both enjoyed the stay at Lions, and we are likely to come back. Breakfast, and other meals at the beach at Hemingways was great. We really enjoyed having a drink i the evening overlooking the sea.
It was a great vacation.

We (me, 51 y. and my daughter, 24 y.) visited Lions Dive from 21.2.10 - 2.3.10. It was a perfect holiday. Especially Nemo was super, Hemingway needed some more attended staff. Beautiful beach and sea, breakfast ok, our room 2219, was old and could need some renovation, but we had a beautiful view over the sea.
A lot of noise from Mambo beach in the night, some times until 4 a.m.:-( Nice personal. If we ever come to Curacao again, we will stay in Lions Beach.

For a long long time in 1992, I spend three weeks in Lions Dive for diving. It seems, that this resort has got an perfectly developement. I wish the resort and the staff all the best for the future. For me, it was the best Divingtrip I have ever done. Thank's a lot.
